I can’t believe that you’ve met so many people who don’t like it, I’m not sure I ever have! I loved it and I’ve seen every episode at least once, if not several times I still enjoy it if I catch an episode randomly. But, 12 years, really! Gosh, I feel really old now 😉 Apologies for such a late visit from #myexpatfamily, it’s been one of those months!

Yes, in its own small way. It’s those little things that help when things are hard here. Like the other day my son bought me a bag of Ruffles potato chips he had randomly found in Wilkos. I was so thrilled, it made my day! And it was just a silly bag of chips (crisps) but it had a positive impact on me – it showed me that my son cares and understands what it means for me to be living here, a country and culture that he’s growing up in and I didn’t. Plus, it was very sweet of him

Where Friends left a void, How I met your Mother now slightly fills. I too love it, and I think many do judging by the amount of re-runs on tv. I remember watching it as a child with my parents and feeling really grown up that I was able to do so! I still find new things funny every time I watch it. #MyExpatFamily

So funny. I rarely watched it when I was in college before moving to England. I also rarely watched it when I was still living with American friends in England (which was VERY much like living out “Friends”).

But I DID start watching it when I moved down south and had no friends. It was totally my culture shock escape. Do you think it’s help you when you found things hard here?

What, it ended TWELVE years ago!? Oh my, that makes me feel old… But I love Friends too though, it was such an integral part of my high-school and university life. I’d love it if my son grew to like it too, it’s so cute you guys all watch it together.
