Well it’s half term here in the UK and of course it’s raining! Such a shame after the wonderfully warm weather we’ve recently had. This week is all about juggling. I have a full work schedule, am out two nights this week, holiday club for Jonah, friend meet ups for the older two and a sleep over for Anna Grace. We’re also meeting up with friends and family, seeing a musical theatre show and having some much needed relaxing family time. A busy week! Nick is off work and is on full time child care while I whiz through my design jobs. I am planning to take Friday off if I get through everything by then. Fingers crossed.

For those of you who are taking the week off or are on an actual holiday (you lucky people!), please take a few minutes to read something that may be of interest to you. As you know, I’ve co-written a book with Heidi Walker called Inspiring Global Entrepreneurs and we’ve recently put together a monthly newsletter for all our followers and expats who are in business all over the world. It’s a business newsletter and an expat newsletter combined so hopefully there is something for everyone. We’ve just sent out our second newsletter and in this edition we’ve included:

A free chapter from Inspiring Global Entrepreneurs

A free coaching video on the importance of being adaptable, by Heidi Walker

A top tip from one of the expats featured in our book

Expat entrepreneur of the month

Discovery of the month

Business and expat blogs to follow

Latest news from around the world and from us

And story of the month

This month’s story is about a new book that I’m currently reading called Chasing Athens by Marissa Tejada. Marissa is an award winning journalist from the USA and lives and works in Athens. I am thoroughly enjoying this book and love all the themes; living and experiencing life in a foreign country, friendships, love, challenges and the excitement of opening yourself up to new adventures. I’m about a third of the way through it. If you are living or have lived abroad and experienced a foreign culture first hand, then you will love this book. We’ve done a proper write up about it in our newsletter. Please sign up to get our newsletter straight to your inbox. I also want to point out that Heidi and I want to share your news and announcements so please send in anything you’d like us to promote in our newsletter to hello@expatsinbiz.com. Happy reading and I hope it inspires you this week whether you’re juggling kids and work like I am or on holiday somewhere hot.
