An American in London

I remember when Nick proposed we move to England, I had said OK but ONLY if we live in LONDON. See how well that worked out? I think I would have enjoyed living in London as a young professional, but now, with the kids, I’m glad we don’t live in London. It’s not often that we go into London purely for a day out. We go for passport renewals at the US Embassy or I go in for work or work events or Nick goes in for work, or we’ll go in to meet up with friends. However we’ve never really done the touristy stuff as a family for a whole day. So, this past Sunday for Mother’s Day, we spent the whole day doing really touristy things as ‘Americans’. Well, not really. I was the only American but nevertheless, I think we all felt like tourists. Best bits were the street artists along the South Bank, the views from the London Eye and all the fabulous photo ops at Madame Tussauds. We took so many photos! So funny!
