A very festive Happy 4th to all my American friends and family wherever you are in the world today.

Happy 2nd anniversary to Bringing Up Brits: Expat Parents Raising Cross-Cultural Kids in Britain. I never thought I’d become an author and two years ago today I did it!

Now I am working on my second book called Inspiring Global Entrepreneurs: Discover how to successfully set up and run your dream business in a foreign country. I’m co-writing this book with Heidi Walker (wishing you a wonderful 4th of July Heidi – your first in 16 years??) and it will be released in November 2013.

The photos are by Moose Azim, a friend and client (I created her website) and a very talented photographer. I LOVE the photo of my cake and balloons on the beach!

Although there is no national celebration here (go figure), I will be celebrating with my children at home with hotdogs, veggie dogs, potato salad and cake.
